Itinerary
1. Pick up at the hotel and drive to Penedès (1 hour)
Between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m., one of our guides will pick you up directly at your hotel in Barcelona or Sitges. During the trip to the Penedès, you’ll travel in comfort in a spacious, air-conditioned vehicle, while the guide provides interesting insights about the region.
2. Horseback ride through the vineyards (1 hour)
At Hípica Excelsior, you’ll meet your fellow riders and fall in love with the beautiful horses that are so carefully tended and pampered at this riding center. The one-hour horseback ride will take you along rural trails through vineyards and pine forests, with numerous spots to enjoy the views of Montserrat and the Penedés wine region.
3. Brunch and wine tasting at a family-run winery (2 hours)
After the ride, the tour guide will pick you up at the riding center and take you to a charming, family-run, organic winery. There, you’ll enjoy a delicious local meal featuring potato omelet, Catalan cured meats, and artisanal cheeses, all paired with a tasting of wines and sparkling wines.
4. Second wine tasting (1.5 hours)
The wine tourism experience culminates at a second winery with a long tradition of producing wines and sparkling wines. At the winery, you’ll receive an explanation of the Gran Reserva Cavas, along with a tasting of two sparkling wines and some delicious chocolates from the region.
5. Return and transfer to the hotel (1 hour)
Relax during the one-hour return trip, during which your guide will drop you off at your hotel.

- Less than 24 hours before the event: no refunds.
- In case of rain, the horseback riding activity will be canceled, and a tour of one winery—in addition to the other two—will be offered, along with a 25% refund.
Warnings
- Pickups near the hotel: Occasionally, we’ll ask our guests to meet us at a convenient location, always within a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
- 9-seat minivan ride: You will be sharing the ride with other customers who have booked similar activities and are heading to the Penedés region.
- Horseback riding carries a certain amount of risk for the rider. Therefore, it is important to follow the instructions of the center’s staff. In the event of a fall, sprain, or other incidents related to the activity, Wino Tours will not be liable for any injuries sustained by the participant.

El pasado sabado 08 de junio 2024, decidimos experimentar la experiencia de un paseo a caballo más cata de cava, en el Penedès de catalunya. Experiencia de 10. A las 11 de la mañana llegamos al centre de equitación donde nos damos un paseo con entre la naturaleza. Para mí fue mi primera vez montando caballo y parecía que era todo un experto, los caballos estaban bien entrenado y fue super placentero. Acabado el paseo fuimos a unos pocos km donde nos esperaba un buen cava y una series de tapas de productos típico de catalunya o España. Los anfitriones expertos de cava nos deliziaron con producto de alta calidad y su pasión por su trabajo hizo que queríamos más y más . Ahora estamos ansiosos de probar todo lo que compramos… así que os animo a probar esta maravillosa experiencia porque une más a la gente.
