 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The team at Wino tours were very accommodating despite a late change of plans on my end. We checked out 3 very interesting wineries and met the owner at each of them. I feel that arriving to the wineries with someone who knows the owners creates a level of rapport immediately and enriches the experience. Our tour guide Joan was very knowledgeable and we chatted about the wines of Priorat and Spain more broadly as we drove between wineries. He was also very hospitable and gave us lots of personal recommendations for the rest of our trip. Would recommend to anyone wanting to spend a day tasting wine in Priorat.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Cannot recommend Wino Tours highly enough. We actually used them for 2 separate tours and both were lovely. We did the Penedes Cava tour first with Joan and provided an excellent blend of his local knowledge from growing up in the Penedes region with his education in wine making to lead many of the tours of the vineyards and caves. We love all of the vineyard we visited in Penedes, especially ArtCava which had a homey, family-friendly feel! A few days later, we did the Priorat tour with Ivan, who was also an excellent guide and managed to run a seamless bilingual tour in English and Spanish! We especially loved how rustic the Priorat tour was, as we had the chance to go into some of the vineyards, as well as the most delicious lunch. We felt the tour was good for all levels/experience with wine. It was definitely approachable for folks who have little knowledge of wine/winemaking, but we also felt like we had the space to ask questions and build a deeper understanding as people who consider ourselves more “intermediate winos.” Logistics-wise, communication, pickup/drop-off, and the itinerary were very smooth. We would happily go on another tour with Wino Tours and will be recommending them to anyone who visits Catalonia!

 Verified Joam the gem of cava! We had a great time with Joam and a small group of six others made this amazing. People will be impressed with his incredible knowledge of not only cava and its roots and production, but also his knowledge of the current events around the world that drew everyone close together quickly. We enjoyed his quick wit, receptiveness to questions and all around his personality. We would follow him on another tour easily.

Can you accommodate gluten-free, vegetarian, or other dietary requirements?

We are happy to accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free, and other dietary restrictions on all our tours. Please let us know about any specific needs when booking by filling out the “Do you have any dietary restrictions?” section.

Will we have hotel pick-up and drop-off for all locations?

We always strive to arrange the pick-up as close to your hotel as possible. However, in some cases, we may ask you to walk 10 to 15 minutes to a nearby pick-up location to help streamline our guide’s schedule. We truly appreciate your understanding!

We highly recommend using WhatsApp for the best and fastest communication with your guide.

Is advance booking required, and can I pay later?

Because our group sizes are limited, we highly recommend booking in advance. If you’re unsure of your tour date, you can secure your spot with a 25% deposit and pay the remaining balance the day before your tour. Our flexible cancellation policy is designed to prioritize your convenience and flexibility.

What is the cancelation policy for the small-group tours?

If you cancel the tour more than 24 hours in advance, you will receive a full refund.

Can I bring children? Is the tour suitable for families?

Children aged 12 and above are welcome on our small group tours. Families with children under 12 are kindly asked to book a private tour, ensuring a peaceful experience for all guests.

What is the legal age for drinking in Spain?

The legal age for drinking alcoholic beverages in Spain is 18.

What is the maximum capacity per grourp in each tour?

Small group tours are set to a maximum of 8 people. If you are a group larger than 8 you can request a private tour sending us a form here.

Will the tour be cancelled in case of bad weather?

Our winery partners are fully equipped with indoor facilities to ensure guest comfort regardless of rain, cold, or extreme heat. To ensure safety, Wino Tours actively monitors the AEMET (Spanish National Weather Agency) for local alerts.

Our current 2026 weather policy is as follows:

Red Alerts: Tours are canceled only if a Red Alert (very unlikely) is issued.
Yellow & Orange Alerts: We exercise extreme caution and closely monitor conditions for these alert levels, though tours typically proceed as planned due to our partners’ indoor capacity.
Standard Weather: Tours are not canceled for typical rain or wind, as all tasting experiences can be moved to comfortable indoor settings.
