Top Recommendations for Your Private Tour of Priorat
Here are some winery ideas to help you craft your perfect tour. To keep it simple, we’ve divided them into three sections:
- Wineries to start your day: These are wineries that offer a great and educational wine tour. During the tour, you will learn all you need to enjoy every sip in their final tasting.
- Wineries & Brunch is a handpicked selection of wineries known for their food and wine pairings. It’s the ideal midday break to unwind, savor local flavors, and soak in the peaceful countryside atmosphere.
- One for the road are wineries perfect for a final toast before heading back to Barcelona. These relaxed stops offer a casual vibe—great for lingering a little longer and ending the day on a high note.
1. Premium wineries to start the day happy
Recaredo: Discover a hidden underground cellar where each bottle is still manually disgorged.
Recaredo is a family-owned winery specializing in terroir-driven, vintage Brut Nature sparkling wines from the Alt Penedès region. Their wines are renowned for long aging, natural cork closures, and a commitment to biodynamic viticulture. Each bottle is disgorged manually and shown to the visitor. We will include the private tour “Temps”. For more details, you can visit Recaredo’s website.
Llopart: A standout Corpinnat winery offering some of the most breathtaking views in Penedes.
Llopart offers a unique wine experience with visits to their historic underground cellar and breathtaking views of Montserrat. Guests can enhance their tour with a vintage car ride through the vineyards for an additional cost of €70 per person. This upgrade adds an extra layer of luxury to an already unforgettable journey through the winery’s rich history and stunning landscapes. For more details, you can visit Llopart’s website.
Jean Leon: The benchmark for red wine in Penedès, founded by a iconic character with a remarkable story
2. Food & Wine: wineries for a delicious brunch
Giró del Gorner: Enjoy delicious tapas in a warm, authentic atmosphere at this traditional family-run winery
Giró del Gorner is a family-run winery with deep roots in the Penedès region, known for producing high-quality cavas and wines. The winery offers a delightful picnic experience featuring a variety of Spanish tapas, including Spanish omelette, Catalan bread with tomato, and a selection of cheeses and cold meats. This picnic is set amidst the beautiful vineyard landscape, providing a perfect setting to enjoy the winery’s offerings. For more details, you can visit Giró del Gorner.
Eudald Massana Noya: Savor a local brunch and enjoy a guided tour at this family-owned biodynamic winery
Albet i Noya: Enjoy a private winery tour followed by a premium brunch experience (available with a supplement)
Albet i Noya is a leading organic winery in the Penedès region, recognized for their innovative work in their experimental vineyards, where they aim to develop mildew-resistant vines. In addition to their wines, they offer the EcoBrunch experience, allowing visitors to taste local products while enjoying the serene surroundings of their vineyards. This combination of sustainability, innovation, and local flavors makes a visit to Albet i Noya truly unique. For more details, you can visit Albet i Noya.
3. A last toast in the Penedes vineyards
Cava Guilera
At Cava Guilera, the long aging cavas are celebrated through various tasting experiences. Guests can enjoy the “Contemplative Tasting,” featuring four meticulously aged cavas paired with cheese, or the “Foodies Lunch,” which includes premium regional products alongside the cavas. For a more personal touch, the winery offers a tour with Pere, the owner, who shares the family’s winemaking traditions. Each experience highlights the dedication to quality that defines Cava Guilera. For more details, you can visit Cava Guilera’s website.
Vins el Cep
Vins el Cep is a relatively young project founded by four families in the 1980’s. This union was made to prevent the price of the grapes from dropping due to the mechanization of the land and to preserve their old Xarel·lo and Macabeu vineyards and harvest them manually. Today is a well-consolidated project with outstanding wines, from white, red, and sweet wines to Cavas and even Pet-Nat (Petillant Naturell). Some of my favorite things about this winery are the surroundings: an old farmhouse in the middle of nature, well preserved and re-modeled for high-quality tours. For more details, you can visit Vins el Cep website here.

My husband I had a fabulous day with Ivan. He is a genuinely nice guy and made us feel super comfortable immediately.
The three wineries we visited were very different and we learned something new at each one. The wines were lovely and lunch in the vineyard was the icing on the cake! I wish I had some now! At the last stop, we sampled different types of chocolates to pair with different wines which truly was a wonderful way to end the day.
Penedès is an amazing region and Ivan is a wonderful guide! A hundred out of a hundred stars!

Our family had an absolutely fantastic day with Joan. He was so knowledgeable about the land and the history of the area surrounding Barcelona. The cava tour and wines were exceptional as was the beautiful and delicious lunch overlooking the farm. Joan was a joy to spend the day with. Many thanks for this incredible experience.
