El Born, a bohemian neighborhood
We will start the tour by strolling through the Born neighborhood’s small alleys. Some monuments we will see are the Born former market, the Saint Marie of the Sea church, and the arc of Triomf. Your guide will provide many historical facts and other legends to entertain you.
Cava tasting at a cozy wine bar
The wine tasting will be in Vivinos, a small wine bar in the Born district (Old Town). There, you will have an explanation of Wine in Spain, and you will be able to taste two different Sparkling wines from Penedes, the famous Cava.
Gothic Quarter Tour
The second half of the tour consists of a nice walk through the Gothic Quarter. It’s an excellent way to make some space before our second tasting. Your guide will show you the beautiful cathedral, the town hall, and the Royal Square.
DOQ Priorat wine tasting
The last stop will be again at a place stocked in time, where they take wine and food very seriously. It is a beautiful place to have a previous tasting of some red wines from the Priorat area.
Optional Stop: dinner
After the wine tasting, you can stay for dinner at the la Vinateria del Call restaurant. If you let us know in advance, a table will be reserved for you.

Of all the tours I have done in Barcelona, this was the best. It was a wonderful time. The warmth and knowledge of the guide made us laugh, learn, and enjoy all at once! During the city tour, the guide took us to a hidden gem that you would never find on your own. It was truly surprising. We were able to taste excellent quality Priorat wines, and the tapas that accompanied them were exquisite, a pleasure for the palate in every sense. Lors de notre visite historique du quartier de la Ribera à Barcelone, nous avons eu la chance d’être accompagnés par Ivan, un guide exceptionnel qui a su transmettre avec passion son amour pour sa ville et son histoire. Dès le début, Ivan nous a plongés dans le passé fascinant de la ville de Barcelone, en nous faisant découvrir des lieux incontournables.
Nous avons aussi eu la chance de faire une dégustation de cava où Ivan a partagé son expertise en vin et avons passé un moment vraiment agréable !
Nous avons ensuite mangé dans un restaurant local où nous avons dégusté de délicieuses tapas espagnoles, accompagnées de merveilleux vins locaux. La qualité des produits était irréprochable, et l’ambiance vraiment chaleureuse.
Ce qui a vraiment marqué notre expérience, c’est la convivialité et l’humour chaleureux d’Ivan. Ses connaissances approfondies de l’histoire de Barcelone et de ses vins, et sa manière engageante de partager ses anecdotes, ont fait de cette visite un moment inoubliable !
