About Llopart Winery
Llopart is one of the wineries with the longest winemaking tradition in the Penedès.
Its history begins in the 14th century, as documented in a Latin parchment of 1385, when an ancestor of the Llopart family, named Bernardus Leopardi, received the concession of some vineyards located in the current Heredad can Llopart de Subirats. After centuries of dedication to the care of the land and the vinification of its fruits, in 1887 the family produced the first bottle of Llopart sparkling wine. Llopart currently has 102 hectares of organically farmed mountain vines growing in the Miocene soils of the Ordal mountains, at an altitude between 240 and 420 m above sea level. In addition to the vineyard, the Heredad Familiar includes nearly 400 hectares of forest and Mediterranean vegetation, which coexist in harmony in an area included in the Natural Interest Area of Catalonia (PEIN).

Llopart is a co-founding member of Corpinnat, the collective brand that distinguishes the great sparkling wines produced in the heart of the Penedès, with 100% organic, hand-picked native grapes and vinified on the property.

The RESERVA tour offers visitors a walk through the history of Llopart, from its origins to the present day. Strolling through the vineyards, you will learn about grape-growing cycles and organic vine cultivation while enjoying the beautiful views over the region and the mountains of Montserrat. The tour will continue in the cellar, a beautiful room full of bottles and history, where Llopart wines and cavas are brought to life. The tour ends with an exquisite tasting of 3 sparkling wines: 2 Reserva and 1 Gran Reserva, paired with cold meats and cheeses from the region.

During the LEOPARDI tour, you will have the opportunity to explore Llopart’s private farmhouse, inherited by Bernardus Leopardi in the 14th century. The farmhouse is the place where, in 1887, the first bottle of Llopart sparkling wine was produced. In this charming old winery, you will experience a journey into the past with a tasting of Llopart’s most emblematic and exclusive wines. Accompanied by some local tapas: bread with tomato, cold meats, and cheese.
The tour continues in the current cellar, where the cavas are aged in a room full of bottles and history. During the whole experience, you will have the opportunity to enjoy five wines (a still wine, the Nèctar Terrenal, the Panorámico, the Microcosmos, and Los Leopardis).

This experience is highly recommended for those looking for a fun day out. It consists of driving a vintage car (Mehari) through the vineyards with the purpose of enjoying the natural landscapes of the Penedès wine region. The activity is designed so that guests can drive the Mehari during the experience. At the end of the tour, there will be a wine tasting of 3 wines and cavas.
